Fabien is a scientist and technology innovator who spent his career leading high-impact initiatives and teams focused on harnessing the power of design strategy, technology, and innovation to drive measurable conservation impacts and scalable solutions to climate change issues.
Prior to joining our team, Fabien served as Vice President for National Geographic Labs where he oversaw the design and development of advanced digital products and engineering projects in support of National Geographic's exploration, conservation, and storytelling.
Fabien served 4 years in the Obama White House where his roles included Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of Science and Technology and at the Council of Environmental Quality, Director of the National Climate Assessment, Deputy Director at the National Ocean Council, Director of the Climate Data Initiative, Director of the Arctic Mapping Initiative, and Lead for Climate Change Implication for National Security.
Fabien also held various leadership positions in the U.S. Global Change Research Program where he directed the coordination and prioritization of federal climate change research and related multi billion annual investments.
Fabien holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Oceanography from La Sorbonne University in Paris, France.
